MINDFUL MOVEMENT FOR WELLBEING
Private Yoga Classes
Yoga to support your wellbeing
I specialise in teaching private yoga classes that are specifically designed to support women's wellbeing. Our wellbeing needs change all the time, sometimes we need rest, sometimes we need energising, sometimes we need to be still, sometimes we need to move; my private classes are designed to give you exactly what you need the most, alongside the individual support and a tailored approach towards achieving your wellbeing goals.
It may be that you would like to explore yoga to help you de-stress and relax, or you may have a specific goal you would like support with over the longer term. Whatever your reasons are, with my private coaching you will get a more personal approach, can go at your own pace, address specific wellbeing goals and have the time and space to ask any questions you might have.
I can help you
Find space to prioritise calm and take the time to be entirely focused on yourself
Get wellness tools and techniques to support your lifestyle
Reduce your stress and improve your resilience through relaxation and mindfulness tools
Reconnect with your body and mind and improve your self-awareness
Learn and practice at your own pace, in private with personalised attention
A holistic approach to elevate your wellbeing
As a wellness coach, energy healer, and yoga teacher I infuse ancient Eastern wisdom with modern day wellbeing science to give you a bespoke approach to your wellness. Drawing upon a vast toolbox of mindfulness, movement and wellbeing techniques I can guide you step-by-step through yoga and relaxation practices that work beautifully together to support your holistic wellbeing.
The level of support and encouragement with private classes can be transformative; whether you are looking to find time for relaxation, strengthen your mind or body, or elevate your wellbeing, together we will focus individually on your needs and goals to create sessions that are both fun and supportive for you.

Isn't mindfulness just relaxation?Whilst mindfulness can feel calming, the purpose of mindfulness is not simply to relax; it is to cultivate the skill of noticing what happens in the mind and body however it is: when there is discomfort, anger or stress as much as happiness, joy or ease. By noticing these things as they happen, you create the freedom to choose your response.
-
Is mindfulness religious? No, the mindfulness curriculums I follow are strictly secular. There are periods of sitting quietly and there is appreciation of how extraordinary it is to be human, but the framework is one of common sense and practical application.
-
How are you qualified to teach Mindfulness to young people?I am a qualified Mindfulness and Meditation teacher with additional qualifications in teaching mindfulness to children (Calm for Kids) and the Teach .B course from the Mindfulness in Schools Project. I also hold a Level 4 PTTLS qualification, D32 and D33 Assessor Awards and an enhanced DBS certificate. You can view all of my qualifications here
-
Does mindfulness for schools include yoga? The mindfulness curriculum I follow includes some elements of mindful movement such as mindful walking or mindfully being aware of our body during movement, it does not include traditional yoga poses. Similarly paying attention to the breath plays a useful role in mindfulness as it is always available as an object of attention, but so is the rest of your body, the food you are eating and the person you are listening to, the courses do not include any yogic breathwork techniques.
-
Is there any evidence for the benefits of mindfulness?Whilst still at a relatively early stage, the evidence-base for mindfulness is very encouraging. For example, brain imaging studies show that mindfulness practice reliably and profoundly alters the structure and function of the brain to improve the quality of thought, feeling and concern for others. Here is a link to an interesting study by the Mindfulness in Schools Project https://mindfulnessinschools.org/the-evidence-base/myriad-what-misp-learned/
